Unsanctioned Student Events

Parents/guardians are informed about school sanctioned events through official field trip board forms, permission forms and/or our website with our letterhead and the appropriate administration signatures. BCSS is not associated with travel presently, or in the future that is not sanctioned by our board policies and procedures.

During the school year on occasion students organize events that are not school sanctioned. In some cases there may not be any supervision or the supervision is provided by young adults (19-22 year olds).

We have become aware of a student organized trip post June examinations. Your child may share that it is a school event; however, this is not a York Region District School Board or BCSS school event as it is not organized, supervised or supported by our school policies and procedures.
